Take a look through Lori Loughlin and her daughters’ social media and you’ll likely notice a running theme: These three like to hang out together.
“We’re both very close with her,” Loughlin’s daughter Isabella, 16, told PEOPLE of her mom (dad is Loughlin’s designer husband Mossimo Giannulli) at the family’s Beverly Hills home. And the actress, 50, makes parenting her priority.
“I’d like to think I'm somewhat their friend, but more importantly, I am their mother and a guiding force,” says the former Full House star — who will reprise the role of Aunt Becky on an episode of the spinoff Fuller House. “I am strict with my girls.”

Loughlin adds that she’s lucky enough to be able to tailor her work schedule around being home with her husband and daughters. “Once I decided to have a family, I said that would be my priority. Life goes by so fast,” says the actress, also proud stepmom to her husband’s 23-year-old son, Gianni. Her current series, Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart, wraps its second season June 13.
Loughlin’s younger daughter Olivia, 15, is already making a name for herself with her beauty-based YouTube channel, Olivia Jade. “She treats it like it is her job and takes it very seriously,” says her mom. “I’m really impressed — she does her lighting, editing, music, graphics and then she does the makeup and she hosts it.”
And both girls are happy to pitch in when it comes to mom’s Instagram presence.
“I do run things by them before I post them. Or sometimes I’ll post something when I’m away on location and get an immediate text, ‘Why did you post that picture?’ They’re very funny.”
