Tatum O’Neal Is Dating Women Now

Tatum O’Neal got very honest in a new interview. She said that she’s dating women these days.

Tatum told People:

I like women. I definitely have been dating mostly women recently.”

She declined to identify as a lesbian, however.

I’m not one or the other.”

Tatum explained what she appreciated about women.

I think women are the most amazing creatures on earth. They’re gentle, and also more intelligent than the men that I’ve met recently. I don’t have a steady right now, but I look forward to it.”

Tatum was married to John McEnroe in 1986. The couple have three children: Kevin (who’s now 29), Sean (who’s 28), and Emily (who’s 24). They split in 1992 and engaged in a long custody battle over their kids. I don’t know if it ever got resolved or if the kids just got old enough so that custody issues became moot. However, Tatum says she’s close to her oldest son, Kevin, who just released a book, ‘Our Town.’

Tatum’s been struggling with addiction for years, but she says she’s clean and sober now.

I’m the most content I’ve ever been. I’m the proudest mother in the history of the world.”

Kevin’s novel is a fictionalized account of Tatum’s mother, actress Joanna Moore, who was married to Ryan O’Neal and had a pill addiction. She died in 1979. Tatum said of ‘Our Town':

Kevin found her voice so beautifully. The book has so much heart. I wish she were alive to see it.”

Tatum seems to have found a degree of peace these days. That’s good to hear. I remember watching a few episodes of her reality TV show with her father, Ryan, and they were just PAINFUL.
